SIMONE STELLA - organist harpsichordist composer

Born in Florence (Italy) in 1981, Simone Stella studied piano at the Conservatory “L. Cherubini” of Florence with Rosanita Racugno, and perfected his piano studies with Marco Vavolo.

After studying organ in Florence with Mariella Mochi and Alessandro Albenga, harpsichord in Rome with Francesco Cera, and organ improvisation in Cremona with Fausto Caporali and Stefano Rattini, he has attended many courses and seminars held by internationally acclaimed artists, including Ton Koopman, Matteo Imbruno, Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini, Luca Scandali, Giancarlo Parodi, Stefano Innocenti, Klemens Schnorr, Ludger Lohmann, Michel Bouvard, Monika Henking, Guy Bovet.

In september 2008 he received the First Prize from Gustav Leonhardt at the International Organ Competition “Agati-Tronci” in Pistoia. He also won the 2004 and 2005 editions of the “Alessandro Esposito” Organ Competition held in Lucca.

Simone Stella maintains an active concert schedule, especially as a soloist, in prestigious festivals all over the Europe. His repertoire includes harpsichord and organ music from every historical era up to and including the present day.

He is an active composer of instrumental music, both for solo instruments and chamber groups, in addition to working on free urtext editions of keyboard works by italian renaissance and baroque composers.

He was titular organist at the historical Orsanmichele Church in Florence.

He records  for ClassicaViva and OnClassical labels.

Wietse Stuurman

Born on 2 december 1976, Wietse Stuurman studied music since he was 8 years old with several teachers, resulting studying composition and conducting. In 1996 he began his study musicology at the Amsterdam University with special interest in ancient music. This interest in ancient music can be recognized in his compositions, strong melodic lines with an almost gregorian character supported by bourdon tones as being used in this style of ”new spiritual music”. Walter Boudreau

Walter Boudreau (Sorel, 1947 -) is a Quebecois composer, saxophonist and conductor. In 1969, he founded the group L’Infonie with Raoul Duguay, which dissolved in 1973. Since 1988, he has been the artistic director of the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec in Montreal. He was a principal collaborator in the Symphonie du Millénaire which took place in Montréal in 2000.

Roberto Carnevale

Roberto Carnevale. Italian pianist, composer and conductor. He studied under Roberto Bianco (Piano), Angela Giuffrida and Franco Donatoni (Composition), Salvatore Enrico Failla (Musicology), Ferdinand Leitner (Conducting). Andersen Viana

Composer-conductor, arranger, music producer and professor. He was born in Belo Horizonte city-Brazil and has studied in courses and seminars about music in several official institutions with: Ennio Morricone,Luca Salvadori,Radamés Gnatalli, Max Rostal, Oilliam Lanna, S.Vianna, Manuel Veiga, Paulo Lima (Accademia Chigiana di Siena, Reale Accademia Filarmonica di Bologna, Arts Academy of Rome, Royal College of Music - Stockholm, UFMG, UFBA), among others. 253 works composed and five CD’s recorded, two of it recorded in Europe. Nineteen national and international awards received, including the 1st prize at prestigious “1er Concours de Composition Musicale pour Orchestre d’Harmonie” in Comines - Belgium and other two prizes at “Lambersart-France 2006″. He has also composing, conducting and producing music for the following films: The Fortuneteller, 3:00:AM, Burning Hearts, The Adam Children, The Next Step, Gun’s Speech, Lost in Abbey Road, Vivalma, Manuelzão e Bananeira, Ofélia, Playing for Tomorrow, Ghost Train, The Man of Head of Paper, Minas Portuguesa, Near Evil and Condenados. Marina Leonardi

Marina Leonardi (1970) is an Italian woman composer and pianist. She studied under Oria Dell’Angelo (Piano), Giovanni Ferrauto, Alexander Mullenbach, Eliodoro Sollima e Alessandro Solbiati (Composition). She obtained Diploma in the Piano and in the Choral Music.

In 1994 Marina Leonardi was appointed Professor of Composition at the Catania Musical Institute “Vincenzo Bellini”. She composed about 40 works played all over the world.

Samuel Clarke

Samuel Clarke was born on the 24th October 1989. From an early age he was always interested in music, and especially composition. He first started playing the piano at the age of 6, under the tuition of Mrs Odile Singer.

This is where his passion for composition came about as he said: ‘you have no freedom with lessons, they just restrict the creativeness of the individual’.

At the age of 15, Samuel entered the Redhill and Reigate Music festival for Composition on Piano. He came 2nd , but this just drove his love for composition even more. In the same year he started taking Singing lessons under Lydia Easton  BA (Hons) LLCM. He now has singing lessons with Miss Jenny Clarke (ALCM).
As a composer genre include: Film Music, TV Music, Pop, Fusion, Electronica, Rock, Ballads, and many more.

He had composed for a number of people; ranging from theme music for an airport news channel, a relaxation album and is currently working on a work for the 1st British Khet United Kingdom Championships.

Rodrigo Rodriguez

Born in Argentina (1978). Rodriguez arrived to Spain (the island of Majorca) in 1988, where he spent most of his childhood. At an early age, he began to study modern and classical music.

Rodrigo’s professional music career began in Spain. It was there that he discovered his first Asian instrument the Shakuhachi flute, a Japanese bamboo flute used by Buddhist monks in meditation practices. Fascinated by Japanese music, he travelled to Japan several times to enhance his knowledge. Read more…
